When Lucas discovers that newcomer Derek's interest in Peyton is more than brotherly, Derek becomes menacing. Haley feels Nathan slipping away after he receives a scholarship offer and play basketball for prestigious Duke University.

Meanwhile, as rumours of Brooke's pregnancy spread, Rachel uses the Internet to set Brooke up on a blind date with an older guy. And at Nathan's request, Deb tries to overcome her pill addiction.

This episode is named after the band I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness.

    yeah, but they showed this episode at 8.50am on channel four a couple of saturdays ago so it doesn't make much sense really, why could they show it at that time on ch4 but not e4?

    they missed this one and the other one where derek holds peyton hostage so i reckon it's something to do with the violence n that...still annoying though!

    I'm watching the repeats every weekday at about 10.40, and they missed this episode! They carried on from episode 6. I was SO ANNOYED! i love one tree hill :)x
