The whole of Tree Hill try to come to terms with the tragedy of Quentin's shooting. Nathan and Haley struggle to find a way to help Jamie understand the death, giving him Quentin's basketball jersey and his parents allow him to attend the very emotional funeral.
Brooke is still struggling to cope with the attack at the store. Peyton finds her throwing all her clothes out into the street and various strangers grabbing them. Brooke still refuses to tell her the truth behind her bruises and soon their relationship becomes strained. Brooke also acts strangely in front of Jamie, causing Haley to urge her to see a counselor.
Dan briefly escapes from Carrie, but is soon in her clutches again. Lucas has to try to rouse the grieving Ravens who have lost both a star player and a friend.
