When Lucas begins his book tour, he is joined by a familiar face as Mouth drops by his slightly disastrous signing session in Omaha. Lucas only signs two books during the entire day, one of which is a Gossip Girl book Nathan is given an opportunity to play basketball again, for a new franchise called Slamball. But the violent nature of this branch of the sport forces him to question his health.
Haley tries to help a student in need, when she discovers Sam sleeping in a car. She asks Brooke to consider fostering her, but Brooke is still trying to sort out her life. After talking to Peyton about her attack, she decides to meet with Sam. Peyton discovers Mick Rocked passed out in the studio with a 'sober token' in his hand. They have a confrontation over his identity and he finally admits to being her father, though the way he expresses it fails to impress Peyton. Mouth decides to leave his successful job to return to his girl - he and Lucas travel back to Tree Hill together.
