Deputy S. Jones, often called 'Jonesy' by his co-workers, is an emotionally shallow smooth-talker. He frequently channels his need for attention into sexually promiscuous behavior, although the ladies often come on to him. He was raised in Mound, Minnesota and was once described by Dangle in a deposition to the D.A. as "a big, hardworking, robust, sort of mocha-ish person." and has a strange ability to sing in high-pitched, R&B-style falsetto.

He is often paired on patrol with Deputy Garcia (perhaps his best friend), and the two occasionally get into childish physical fights with each other. It is implied, typically by Deputy Williams herself, that he is Raineesha's ex-boyfriend, although he seems to pursue every woman besides her. Despite Williams' jealous crush on him, he has an on-again/off-again, 'booty call' type relationship with Deputy Johnson. He is also a horrible dancer, and works part-time as a stripper (in a police uniform). Other than the initial 'S,' Jones's first name is undisclosed.
