When we left the deputies, there was a potential terrorist situation that left Trudy screaming. Turns out the gas attack is just an errant skunk. While trying to work out how to get rid of the animal, they decide to shoot it. Homeland Security trainer Hernandez shows up and uses his special 'skunk call' to capture him. Clemmie in particular is impressed by the trainer's behaviour and decides she'll be making a move on him soon.

Back at training, Hernandez quizzes the force on the best way to deal with an unattended bag. Dangle and Williams dress in HAZMAT gear, but then just rip the bag open anyway and root through it. It looks as if they are due to fail their Homeland Security test, but Garcia has secreted the answers and they all cheat.

Later at the bar, everyone is worried about their cheating. Hernandez arrives and tells them all they have passed the test and he's going to leave. Everyone is desperate for him to stay and even tells him they cheated. But he has to go - Trudy chases his motorcycle off into the distance.

At the next morning meeting, Dangle announces that Homeland Security doesn't actually send out trainers and Hernandez and Suzy were grifters. They've stolen thousands of dollars worth of equipment and even Trudy's credit card. They all agree never to speak of it again.
