Carla
A fluent Spanish speaker, Carla's whole family is from the Dominican Republic, despite her husband Turk's frequent assertions that she is Mexican or Puerto Rican. Maybe for this reason, various members of Carla’s family hate Turk, with her brother pretending he doesn’t speak English to avoid speaking to him.
Carla began dating Christopher Turk in the show's second episode and they have been together ever since – eventually marrying. But she frequently says that she wishes Turk was as close to her as he is to his best friend JD and admits to having nightmares where the two run away together. Despite some ups and downs and Turk’s frequent relegation to JD’s room, they settle down and have a child, Isabella. JD becomes the godfather.
Carla rose to head nurse at Sacred Heart – despite her bossy, advice spewing nature and her tendency to spread gossip about just about anybody. And if you cross her, she tends to get her revenge by humiliating the unfortunate person in front of the entire hospital. Beware.
