Life in the hospital moves fast; one second you are a hero, the next you’re obsessing about intern evaluations. Turk and JD get a taste of both when their lunchtime trip to a local strip club gives them a shot at fame after they resuscitate a local news cameraman.
With film crews all over them, Dr Kelso seizes the opportunity to milk the publicity for all its worth and promote the hell out of the hospital, with Turk as the friendly face of Sacred Heart. However Turk soon becomes uncomfortable with Kelso’s focus on ‘diversity’ which is more about him being a young black doctor, than a good surgeon.
Having been eclipsed by Turk’s fame, JD’s more interested in getting his Intern Evaluation completed; unfortunately Dr Cox is up to his cha-cha’s in work and leaves him to write his own.
Eventually Perry does it, but JD discovers the point was by making him do his own evaluation, he had to think about himself rather than worry about what other people think of him. As it turns out Cox thinks a lot of JD, giving him a special mention at the evaluation board meeting as somebody they don’t want to lose… although he obviously won’t be telling that him to his face.
