Happy on his small patch of paradise on the bench just in front of the hospital, Turk enjoys his lunchtime sandwich. Whilst not actually encroaching on Kelso’s territory, who has sat there everyday for the past 23 years, the battle lines are drawn over who owns the spot. In spite of all Kelso’s scary speeches Turk decides to stand up for himself, and even heavy rain doesn’t restrain him from relaxing on the bench.
Meanwhile JD’s relationship with Carla becomes strained as they realise how hard it is for doctors and nurses to be friends. Lately it was him who asked Carla for advice, but as his training kicks in and JD becomes better, the future of their friendship depends on how Carla handles his guidance.
With a day out planned they resolve any arguments, until Carla confronts Dr Cox about the way he treats her ‘Bambi’ aka JD. Hell hath no fury like a Cox scorned, and he tells everybody that ‘Ginger’s’ (also aka JD) mummy Carla doesn’t like anyone to pick on him anymore, as ‘she’ is a precious flower they all should be super nice to ‘her’.
Cox’s public humiliation of JD provokes a bigger argument, and Carla decides he’s just another patronising ass. It’s the wake-up call JD needs, and he realises somebody’s owed an apology. Asking for Carla’s advice about a patient brings them back together, and once again JD’s her Bambi forever… or maybe Scooter?
