Jamie’s (aka ‘Tasty Coma Wife’) husband has succumbed to his coma after two years and JD goes to the funeral to pay his respects. Later, JD and Jamie give into the sexual tension that has been building up and have sex in a closet at the funeral home. Afterwards, he is convinced that their moment of passion was a reaction to her husband’s death and she’s not ready to be in a relationship yet.
While heading back home, JD pulls off the road to pee in the bushes next to a house and is startled to discover a naked Janitor walking into the shower of the house. He can’t help but notice the Janitor’s penis and notices that there is a lesion or wart on it. Based on his medical experience, JD believes the lesion could be cancerous and reports this to Dr. Cox back at the hospital. Dr. Cox tells JD that it is his duty to check it out. The Janitor’s lesion turns out to be fine.
JD has another patient that he has to attend to - Mr. Mueller, who has a cancerous melanoma on his liver. Since Mr. Mueller only speaks German, his brother Hermann translates for him. Hermann repeats JD’s words exactly, except for the part where he says that the prognosis for recovery isn’t good. Instead, Hermann tells his brother that ‘He’ll be fine’.
JD finds out what Hermann really told Mr. Mueller when Elliot tells him that she had a nice conversation with Mr. Mueller, in German. Hermann lied to Mr. Mueller because he wanted to spare him the truth. Later on they find out that Mr. Mueller’s liver cancer has actually improved.
At the same time, Turk is having his own weird sexual experience. While asleep on the couch in the doctor’s lounge, he dreams that Elliot, wearing sexy lingerie and a surgical mask, is kissing him on an operating table. Since he and Carla are in the middle of planning their wedding, this dream is a little disturbing. Carla later finds out from Turk’s patient, who overheard Turk and Todd talking about it while he was being operated on.
Carla takes off the engagement ring and gives it back to Turk and then puts it back on again, joking the whole time.
Meanwhile, Jordan asks Dr. Cox’s help in taking care of the baby, which still hasn’t been given a name. He has fun babysitting, but hasn’t quite developed that bond with the child. When Jordan asks him to watch the baby again the next day, Perry makes up an excuse to get out of it. Jordan catches him playing basketball when he said he would be giving a medical lecture. Dr. Cox admits to JD his problem of not bonding with the baby.
After giving it some thought, JD realises that he doesn’t know what is best for Jamie so he tells her that he does want to be in a relationship with her.
