Having been convinced that as a residents JD, Turk and Elliot will have more responsibility, they’re disappointed to find they’re still Perry’s running dogs, who sends them to get him a glazed half-sprinkles doughnut and some coffee.
However with no one in hospital while they are on the call, they get a chance to put their best foot forward and take on the responsibilities of running the place on their own. But when it comes to dealing with all these things unsupervised JD, Turk and Elliot soon get the heebie jeebies.
Meanwhile Cox doesn’t understand his relationship with Jordan; he likes her again and can’t stop thinking about putting up with her, and whilst she has feelings for him Jordan’s got balls as well, and can’t believe he wants to ruin their pointless, angry, shallow sex. To cut him down to size and prove he hasn’t changed she asks Perry to introduce Kelso at a congratulatory conference. Unfortunately in moments of truth people always reveal who they really are and the words “Bob Kelso is the love of my life” soon bring a lump to Perry’s throat.
Finally annoyed with her friends indecisiveness Carla points out they’ve all been on call before so instead of quaking in their boots them peeps should go and kick some sick patients asses! With newfound confidence the gang spends a long evening being the residents they always wanted, even though the following morning they will go back to being still the most unappreciated people in the whole damn hospital!
