Now that JD knows that Dr. Cox is the father of Jordan’s baby, he is torn between telling him or keeping the secret to himself. He also wonders why Dr. Cox and Jordan ever got divorced in the first place. JD soon finds out the answer when Dr. Peter Fisher, an easy-going private practice doctor, tends to one of his patients, Mrs. Grayson at the hospital. Dr. Fisher was a resident at Sacred Heart Hospital a few years ago where he and Dr. Cox used to close friends, but Dr. Cox outwardly detests Dr. Fisher.
JD really likes Dr. Fisher and Dr. Cox becomes jealous of his mentor hanging out with him. When Dr. Cox asks JD to help him with a patient, he lies so he can hang out with Dr. Fisher, or Pete as he wants to be called, at a bar. The next day at the hospital, Dr. Cox warns JD to stay away from Pete but doesn’t tell him why. Later on in the doctor’s lounge, JD witnesses Dr. Cox confronting Pete about sleeping with Jordan when she and Dr. Cox were having marital problems. That led to their marriage breaking up, for which Cox has never forgiven Pete.
Since she said yes to Turk’s proposal, Carla has been feeling less sexy about herself. She thinks that her engagement ring has sucked away all of her sexiness. Even Todd doesn’t respond in his usual inappropriate way until she takes the ring off her finger.
Turk isn’t feeling like his usual self either after Dr. Kelso starts parking his car in the spot where he and Todd play basketball to blow off steam before surgery. To get even with Dr. Kelso, Turk unplugs the Ms. Pac Man machine and erases the 40 million points that Dr. Kelso had spent so much time racking up. As an alternative, Turk and Dr. Kelso play golf together to relieve stress, but that’s not as effective as playing basketball or Ms. Pac Man. Dr. Kelso gets back at Turk by telling the golf course security that he doesn’t know who Turk is and watches in glee as Turk is chased off the course by the security guard.
