It’s Thursday and its ‘Turk time’, the only day of the week where Turk gets the night off for himself. But unluckily JD has other ideas and has reorganized his schedule to spend the night with his pal. Also after having a girlie talk, Jordan invites Elliot and Keith on a double date with herself and Dr Cox, but Dr Cox isn’t amused.

Dr Kelso is grieving over the death of his dog Baxter but because he doesn’t want anyone to know he can be emotional, Carla covers for him after she’s touched that she was the only one he confided in. This doesn’t go down with everyone else, especially the Janitor.

When JD’s patient has liver cancer, his stand up comedian brother Mark generously gives him part of his liver and all is well till Mark reacts badly to the surgery.
