Scrubs:

The first season follows JD and his best friend Turk's first year out of medical school as interns at Sacred Heart Hospital. JD quickly meets his reluctant mentor, Dr. Perry Cox, who takes great joy in belittling and humiliating his new pupil. He also discovers an attractive young woman (and fellow intern) named Elliot on whom he instantly has a crush.

The hospital's mysterious janitor goes out of his way to annoy the newbies while the Chief of Medicine, Dr. Bob Kelso, is more concerned about the budget than the patients. Turk meets and falls in love with the bossy head nurse, Carla Espinosa who makes him jump through hoops before the relationship kicks off.

Throughout this trying first year the characters face romances and relationship issues, family obligations, overwhelming paperwork, and a tremendous number of patients. Series one also sees the new medics facing death for the first time, miraculous breasts, missing drugs, nail guns and a lot of idiots.
