I'm having even more difficulty getting out of bed these days. It just seems to be harder and harder. I used to have this alarm clock, got it for my 11th birthday. Crap present, but it worked. It was so simple; I would press snooze, it would wait for a bit and go off again and eventually I’d get up. After a while I sort of wore down the snooze button and it would wait ages between going off. It sort of learnt me.
By the time I was 16 we had this Jedi understanding; I only set it every couple of weeks, when I had an essay or something to do in the morning. It'd go off and I’d press snooze and then, like half an hour later, it would go off again and I'd press snooze again and, before I knew it, it was lunchtime and I’d missed Psychology so I didn’t even have to give an excuse for not doing the work. Perfect.
But now I don't need to set it, it won’t stop going off. Every five minutes. I keep pressing the button but it just won’t stop. Hang on a minute...
I just threw it at the wall and now I think it's died. It was mine for pretty much longer than anything else I have, and now it's gone, I don't think I can sleep
And I don't know what fucking time it is.
