When Clark and Chloe patch things up, Lionel has her fired from the newspaper. She decides to help Lex have Lionel arrested for the murder, again utilising her reporting skills. Though in protection from a vengeful Lionel, Chloe’s safe house blows up and its presumed she is dead. Her cousin Lois Lane comes to town to investigate the accident. Clark and Lois team-up and discover the truth and find Chloe alive. She unearths Clark’s secret when his girlfriend of the time, Alicia, hopes that Chloe will write a story exposing him but she decides that Clark must have kept his secret for a reason and ignores her.
Now Chloe knows the secret of Clark Kent, but is always disappointed that he never chose to tell her himself. He eventually tells her more of his story and reveals to her that he was not a infected by the meteor rocks, but he’s an alien who was sent to Earth as a baby.
