Smallville :

Jor-El strips Clark of his powers, making him human. Delighted to finally be 'normal', Clark pursues a relationship with Lana, not held back by keeping secrets form her.

However, after Lana, Jonathan and Martha are taken hostage by three krypto-thugs, Clark must find a way to save his family by forcing him to recover a serum from LuthorCorp's Level 3, without using his superpowers. Clark learns that Lex could be behind the whole incident in an effort to test Clark's abilities.
