Smallville :

When his mother is mugged in Metropolis, Clark decides to find out who it was that saved her life. Clark discovers that the new reporter at The Daily Planet, a bespectacled, bumbling woman named Maya is actually a masked avenger who fights crime at night, especially Suicide Slum.
