Clark discovers John Jones was shot while working as a police officer, so Clark dons the uniform and goes undercover to find the culprit, believing that the shooter could have been a fellow officer. Clark discovers that a group of cops have been taking that law into their own hands and killing criminals. They discover that Clark is on to them and so frame him for the attack on John. They also believe Green Lantern knows their secret and try to get rid of him also. One of the cops decides to side with Clark and, with the help of a recovered John Jones Clark is cleared of all charges.
Meanwhile, Lana confronts Tess and tells her Lex isn't the man she thinks he is. Lana's shocking news forces Tess to reevaluate her position as the head of Luthorcorp. She discovers that Tess has a transmitter implanted into her optic nerve and is being used as a spying device. As an act of revenge, Tess offers to sell LuthorCorp to Oliver.
