No offence meant but you has made the same mistake as everyone else. "We meet Alex on his shrinks couch, as he rants on, albeit eloquently, about why he shouldnt be there." He is not musing about his interest; he is saying he shouldnt be there.
Here is my audition for a speaking role in Skins series 3! I see Alex as a upper middle class youth protagonist for an enclosed dogmatic social environment. Sorry about the thumbs up at the end though. Before recording myself, i briefly used techniques from the System to create belief and Action. My name is Will O'Connell and i am studying Performing Arts at college. I'm keeping my fingers crossed man!
